After hearing the Iron and Wine song "Womanking", the idea stuck in my mind. What is a womanking? Surely not a queen, often thought of as an accessory to a king (or a country) but a person of power--of strength that extends beyond her personal boundries. Ancient and new. Rooted. Farseeing.  That's who we truly are. So, here is my concept, for everywoman, as a series of bold,rings... and a poem

Womanking rising

from her center

strength, stature,

gentleness.

Conduit of power

compassion and decisive strokes.

Standing up. Walking forth.

Ruler of her own domain.

Energy wind, creative storm

stroke of genius, her.

She uses

it all well.
